Steak and Potato Barbecued Grilled Cheese



Take your grilled cheese sandwich to the next level with this Steak and Potato Barbecued Grilled Cheese recipe. It's a delicious combination of tender steak, creamy mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, and gooey cheese, all grilled to perfection. Perfect for a hearty meal or a tasty indulgence.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces cooked steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • BBQ sauce for dipping

Instructions:

Each piece of sourdough bread should have an even amount of butter spread on one side

On a hot grill or griddle over medium-low heat, put one slice of bread with the butter side down

On top of the bread slice on the grill, put the sliced steak, mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese

Add pepper and salt to taste

Put the second slice of bread on top, buttered side up

For three to four minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese melts, put the sandwich on the grill

Take it off the grill and wait one minute

Cut the grilled cheese into diagonal slices and serve it hot with BBQ sauce on the side
