Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Assorted food colors
  • Edible glitter optional

Instructions:

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl with a whisk

Mix the butter and sugar in a different bowl until the mixture is light and fluffy

Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix them in well

Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms

For every color you want to make, split the dough into equal parts

Add a few drops of food coloring to each piece and mix them together until the color is spread out evenly

Put the colored dough pieces in the fridge for 30 to 60 minutes after wrapping them in plastic wrap

Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet

Use the characters from Dr

Seuss to guide you as you shape the colored dough into fun shapes

Place the cookie shapes on the baking sheet that has been prepared

For a magical touch, if you have edible glitter, sprinkle it on top of the cookies

After the oven is hot, bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden

Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way

After the Dr

Seuss Cookies have cooled, you can enjoy them
