Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix the flour, salt, and pepper together
Coat the chicken breasts in the flour mixture and then shake off the extra
Put olive oil in a big skillet and heat it over medium-high heat
Before adding the chicken breasts, make sure both sides are golden brown and the middle is no longer pink
This should take about 6 to 8 minutes per side
Take the chicken out of the pan and set it aside
Put minced garlic in the same pan and cook for one minute
Add the chicken broth and scrape the pan's bottom to get rid of any browned bits
Add the sliced mushrooms, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese, and mix them in
Bring to a simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce gets a little thicker
Put the chicken breasts back in the pan and cook for another two to three minutes, until they are hot all the way through
Add chopped parsley as a garnish before serving
